After the home inspection, any repairs will be negotiated and agreed upon which will move the contract forward to end the option period! At this point, unless the buyer can not secure financing, it will be very hard for the buyer to back out of the contract as long as you stay in compliance.
Things to note:
- Occasionally, additional inspections may be necessary, in which case we may be asked to extend the option period.
- Remember to keep track of receipts for any of the agreed upon repairs. You will want to provide those as proof of the work being done.
