It's been a hard year, but San Antonio has some tail-wagging news to perk you up.
San Antonio's Animal Care Services (ACS) announced that this year saw a whopping 92% live-release rate for its animals. That means euthanization is a record low, and adoptions are a record high. That means this year, San Antonio is more full of pets, cuddles, purrs, and wagging tails than ever before. This massive upkick in adoptions and rescues could be attributed to the number of people stuck at home, or looking for something to brighten their quiet quarantine. There's something wonderful in the symbiotic relationship we have with animals, and not that our shelters are empty, our hearts are more full than ever.
