Get Chic for Qixi
This coming week brings the holiday of Qixi (Che-she), also known as Chilseok (Che-say-oh). It celebrates the myth of two lovers forced apart, who are allowed to reunite once a year on the backs of magpies. Sometimes known as "Chinese Valentines Day', this romantic holiday is celebrated in China, Korea, and Japan (although in Japan they celebrate in July). Make your home festive with easy paper lanterns that kids will love making! When night falls, try to spot the related constellation in the night sky, known as 'the summer triangle'. Your own mini festival is sure to add color and fun to your week!

Dinner and a shootout
Need some good old fashioned Texas fun? Attend the Bankersmith Dinner and Gunfight to get your kicks! The BBQ dinner features a tasty meal, a meet & greet, and of course, a gunslinging shootout! The event is a bit of drive, as it's hosted in Fredericksburg, but it's simply a must-do for any western fan. The dinner and show is hosted every Friday at Bankersmith Feed and Seed. Gates open as early as 3 pm, and ends with the show at 6 pm.
